How is a salon studio different from a traditional salon or booth rental?
You are the business owner of your own salon studio—that makes YOU the boss. Set your own hours and pricing, choose your own products, decorate to suit your personal style, and best of all, keep 100% of the profits. Having an individual studio offers you privacy, security, and independence; plus, it comes with everything you need to get started!
Am I a good candidate for YOUR SALON STUDIO?
YOUR SALON STUDIO is perfect for independent, well-established beauty, health, and wellness professionals with a solid client base who’s willing to support and follow the professional to their new location.
An ideal candidate would be naturally independent, self-disciplined, and desire to take complete control of their life and career. They are willing to handle the business and marketing sides of their business, want more flexibility in their work schedule, and want the opportunity to choose the product they sell, the prices they charge, and retain the profits of their own hard work.
This concept works well for salon owners ready for a change and who want to get out of the everyday challenges of operating a traditional salon or for booth renters who would like to take their business to the next level.
What is included in a salon studio?
Each studio is designed with the specific professional’s needs in mind. For example, a hairstyling studio comes standard with a luxurious, large cylinder hydraulic styling chair, high-quality American-made industrial and marine grade cabinetry and drawers, a full-length GLEEM* color-correcting mirror, retail shelving, tool storage with dedicated outlets, color bar, shampoo bowl with an EcoHead sprayer, shampoo chair, dryer hood, and guest chair. We have multiple configurations and studio components available including esthetician, barber, nail, and massage studio packages. Contact us to discuss your specific studio needs.

Are inquiries confidential?
Absolutely! We take your privacy very seriously and guarantee complete confidentiality. We understand that you have questions, and we simply want to give you the opportunity to comfortably get as much information as possible. We have found the best way for you to explore this opportunity is by having a conversation, and this is why we promise 100% confidentiality when you call us or submit any information.
How do I reserve a salon studio?
The first step to getting started is to schedule a private tour of our building and studios. If you like what you see, you can fill out our online application. Once approved, we’ll request that you submit a deposit to reserve your studio.
What do you need from me to get started?
Prior to opening your new business, YOUR SALON STUDIO requires you to have an approved application, current state-issued cosmetology, barber, esthetician, or manicure license, general liability insurance, and have submitted the required security deposit.
Do I have to sign a lease?
Yes. Our standard lease is a 12-month term, however, we can offer a shorter 6-month term lease at an increased weekly rate.
Do I have to work certain days or hours?
No. You will have 24/7 access to the building and your studio, 365 days a year, so you are in complete control of the time you want to work. Being completely in control of your schedule is one of the biggest perks of being a salon studio owner.
Do you take a percentage of my sales?
No. We are not a commission-based business, and you are not our employee. You set your prices and keep 100% of every sale or service. You only pay us your weekly rent for the studio; the rest is yours.
Can I personalize my salon studio?
Yes. We believe that your studio is an expression of your personality. You can add items such as pictures, mirrors, seating, or other furnishings per your discretion; however, we do require that any studio modification be submitted for approval first. We also offer light carpentry services at an affordable rate to help with hanging shelves, pictures, etc. Additionally, we have painted our walls a neutral color that will go with any design choice to help you get started with minimal or no additional decorating.
Can I sell retail product from my salon studio?
Yes, however, any products you sell must relate to the service you provide in your studio.
Can I add furniture to my salon studio?
Yes. You can add additional furnishings to your studio. The only thing we don’t allow is extra styling chairs in a studio. Single studios are limited to one styling chair, and double studios are limited to two styling chairs. You can, however, swap our styling chair for your own if you have one you prefer to use.
How will I attract new customers to my business at YOUR SALON STUDIO?
Marketing will be the key to your success and should include digital marketing, social media, email, print, and direct mail.
Salon professionals can;
- Send a text, email blast, or mail an announcement to inform clients about their new salon and location.
- Offer a special incentive for those who visit your new salon within the first month of opening.
- Give first-time clients a welcome gift.
- Hand out business cards with contact info to the other professionals in the building – you may offer services that they don’t.
- Create social media accounts for your studio separate from your personal accounts, and start posting to attract your ideal customer.
- Create a website.
I just graduated and received my license. Is YOUR SALON STUDIO a good place for me to start my business?
We are going to be totally honest with you—probably not. Walk-in traffic is not available at YOUR SALON STUDIO. Our building is completely secured, 24/7, and allows each individual professional the choice of who is welcomed into the building. That doesn’t mean you couldn’t do it, and we’re happy to talk to you about it. But the reality is that salon ownership is most likely to be successful if you’ve been doing this for a while and have a good list of clients who support you.
